“It’s All In the State of Mind”. This is a poem by Walter D. Wintle that resonates with me on and off the softball field. Softball has been a huge part of my life since childhood. Playing competitive softball has taught me invaluable life lessons that I will carry with me throughout my life such as motivation, time management, personal responsibility, hard work, teamwork, and respect. I have not only enjoyed watching my own growth in softball, but I’ve had the opportunity to coach and mentor younger girls to share the love of the game. I love the challenges softball brings to me every game and it is a goal of mine to continue playing at the collegiate level.
